The Role:
As a UAT Engineer, you will work in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Terra Dotta software, a web application. This position will lead automation efforts across a variety of web and mobile applications using automation tools such as Selenium, bromine, jasmine, karma, and protractor. This creative thinker will evaluate, test and validate Terra Dotta products before releasing them to clients. They will work alongside Product Owners and Software Engineers to recommend product improvements and develop and implement quality assurance problem reporting processes and systems. The QA will play an integral role in the success of the Product Development team.
What You Will Do:
- Automate integration tests to identify user experience improvements and regression issues
- Ensure unit tests are well written to provide maximum code coverage
- Perform peer code review and suggest code quality improvement techniques
- As necessary, the Tester will help with UAT testing to plan and organize UAT, coordinate and monitor testing, monitor defects, create defect reports, work with vendors and the state to resolve the defects/bugs.
- Ensure best-of-breed user experience by performance tuning of the built services
- Develop test conditions to validate business requirements.
- Execute UAT scripts and complete problem logs.
- Work on a growth-oriented production product on a collaborative team
- Adopt a customer-first mindset to understand business problems and anticipate potential pain points
- Participate in production and testing procedures to ensure release-readiness
- Writing test cases, creating data sets to test logic, designing error handling alerts and resolution
- Collaborating with colleagues and supporting the overall team effort within the product development department
- Keeping abreast of IT industry trends, security, and testing technologies
What You Need To Get The Job Done:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required
- Prior experience in a technical role, internship, or related experience.
- Experience with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies; Agile, Scrum.
- Defect/bug management and familiarity with defect management tools (Bugzilla, JIRA etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- strong knowledge of SQL Query experience.
- Self-starter with an innate passion to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Familiarity with Terra Dotta Software is a plus
