We are looking for a Technical Leader that has a passion for technically leading teams to build better software for all users. The emphasis is on enabling our customers to engage with their users so they can build software that meets their customers’ needs.
Role Description (what you’ll do):
- Contribute in both a tech lead capacity as well as delivering code with the team. Able to pick up bugs and stories to contribute to the code base. The technical contributions are predominantly frontend focused. But the role will lead a team of developers who are both frontend and backend.
- Coordinate and collaborate on cross-team projects.
- Work collaboratively with team leadership (Agile, Product, Design and Engineering Manager) to set and communicate reasonable roadmaps, schedules, milestones; and to establish reliable, thorough, and high-velocity build, test, release, and sustainability processes.
- Model strong partnership with other technical leads, engineering managers, product managers, scrum masters, product designers. Partner with supporting teams to help spread product understanding and triage issues
- Gain a grasp of the different areas of the products Pendo owns
- Known as the "go to" person for their specific area of technical responsibility/immediate team ownership
- Work collaboratively within the team and effectively resolves technical conflicts
- Estimate size of EPICs
- Help grow and build team members. Proactively seek opportunities for team members to further enhance skill levels and development plans.
- Proactively remove technical roadblocks for team members.
What we’re looking for:
- Over 5 years of professional experience writing Javascript code.
- Thorough and detailed knowledge of at least one modern web framework (Vue, React, Angular)
- Experience working with BE developers. Writing Go or Java code would be beneficial.
- Proven leadership skills, including experience managing a small team of technologists
- Experience with web applications that serve/have served many users
- Interest in learning new technologies, languages, etc
- Experience conducting design and code reviews, troubleshooting code and providing direct architecture & design decisions
