If you have a passion for learning new technologies and a strong interest in infrastructure automation and continuous deployment, we are looking for a talented person to join our DevOps Engineering team!  You would be receiving hands-on training and be making immediate contributions to help solve technical problems and automate software deployments.  Must be comfortable being involved in the full application stack from infrastructure automation to database optimization and code contributions.

Requirements:

• 2 plus years experience
• Consistent work effort and strong sense of personal responsibility
• Scripting experience (Ruby, Bash, Python, Golang)
• Linux system administration experience (bonus for Kubernetes)
• Working knowledge of open-source databases like MySQL and Postgres
• Professional working knowledge and experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure management tools in a cloud environment
• Strong understanding of security best practice
• Outstanding interpersonal skills required and ability to communicate in-person and remotely
• Located in the Morrisville, NC area.  We are currently working remotely, however, there are parts of this job where going into the office is easier or required.

Responsibilities:

• Learn from and support our lead DevOps Engineers

• Focus on both infrastructure and software aspects of systems and application maintenance to deliver optimum platform performance and uptime

• Perform assigned tasks and projects in order to meet goals and objectives

• Take part in on-call rotation to respond to system alerts and outages

• Provide technical assistance in analyzing and resolving application performance and stability challenges

• Produce documentation and provide appropriate communications for assigned responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot both open-source and in-house developed business applications

• Manage IT through procurements and user account management
