As a Sr User Researcher, you will beresponsible for creating research plans, managing research, moderating interviews and interpreting research results. You will help guide the ShareFile user experiences to the next level. Efforts that go into creating the experiences and crafting the details in our products help transform the way people work. Ongoing usability assessments and general concept evaluations are needed to assure we are delivering customer value. Advocates for users and leverages data to design our product experiences. We appreciate researchers who think deeply, problem solves, and have a good sense of humor, and love collaboration. This role requires skills both in traditional HCI practices, and data science statistical skill set required for collecting deep insights on our product portfolio experience. Responsibilities include data science, evaluation exercises, and strategic generative/ concept field research for Product Design teams. 
 
Role Overview:

  • Able to understand the needs of product teams and translate them into a research plan
  • Familiar with creation, cognitive walkthroughs, and quantitative research methods
  • With guidance from research leadership, able to run everything from ethnographic studies to usability studies; can learn other methods as appropriate
  • With guidance, produces research reports and actionable recommendations
  • Attentive to detail terminology, appearance, OS standards, behaviors, and workflows
  • Able to conduct short, iterative studies and quickly turn around results
  • Develops and explores knowledge of Citrix users, needs, and identifies gaps
  • Able to set personal schedules and meet deadlines
  • Understands how research and design fit into the Citrix development process
  • Seeks to understand product market, competitors, opportunities and challenges
  • Works to deepen product and domain expertise
  • Independently troubleshoots issues and resolves research blockers with support
  • Collaborates closely and effectively with the other researchers, Design, Product Management, and Engineering; knows when to seek help
  • Receives, weighs, and integrates constructive feedback from others and managers
  • Able to schedule and prioritize work with guidance from managers
  • Identifies research opportunities with teams, considering goals, impact, and value
  • Presents research in a clear, confident, professional, and cogent manner to teams
  • Able to explain rationale for research methodology and insight implications
  • Identifies and solves problems, improves personal skills, and assists team members
  • Educates cross-functional team on how to conduct research with a high degree of rigor
  • Leverages defined research processes (ex: playbooks, templates, and process)
  • Helps drive UX Research team culture, processes, and documentation

  • ** **Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in user/product/software UX research space
  • Experience working with cross-functional development teams
  • Excels at complex problem-solving and trouble-shooting
  • Strong project management skills and juggle multiple time-sensitive projects

  • Solid understanding of best practices in user-centered design and research methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present actionable insights
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that fosters change, creativity, and flexibility
  • Has a strong portfolio articulating research findings, methods, and recommendations
  • Has working knowledge of UX industry tools e.g., Qualtrics, Userzoom, Figma, etc.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Cognition, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology preferred or related degrees; applied experience with no degree, a Masters degree with 3 years experience, or a PhD without experience also considered
  • Some travel may be required for customer interviews or customer events
