About this opportunity 
The IAM and Integration Application Engineer will be responsible for the designing and implementing tasks that supports Customer Identity & Access Management and API Management for Align Technology. This role will work with the Security, Software, Quality Assurance and Cloud and System Administration teams among others to ensure to deliver strong and consistent solution that follows industry best practice and open standards.
 
In this role, you will…

  • Serve as Key Designer and Engineer for Identity and Access and API Management platform.
  • Design, develop Identity and Access management Solutions using different On-Prem and Cloud Providers.
  • Provide support and function as Reliability engineer for Identity and Access and API Management platform.
  • Provide support and function as integration engineer for Kafka based messaging platform.
  • Define and educate API frameworks, best practices for API design and implementation to the different API developers and client applications.
  • Resolve complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients.
  • Manage changes according to change management policies and processes and adhere to established change management and change control systems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Pair Program with other members of the team and also guide junior members of the team on Identity and access management, API management and Event driven solutions.
  • Provide support to CICD method and help with standardizing and automating workflows and tasks
  • Work with PMO, Quality Assurance and other group on a frequent basis, to provide solutions and deliver deliverables. 
     
    In this role, you’ll need … 
    Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
  • Masters will be preferred.
    Required Experience:
  • 8-12 years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Identity & Access Management and API Management.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in designing cloud-native applications and cloud optimized solution mainly using AWS.
  • 3+ Experience in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and EDA (Event Driven Architecture).
  • 2+ Experience with Cloud Computing especially with AWS.
  • 1+ Experience with messaging systems with Kafka.
  • 1+ Experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools like Splunk, SignalFx, Logic Monitor.
  • Experience working as DevOps engineer with focus on automation.
  • Familiar with CICD pipeline, Configuration management and version control.
  • Ability to document complex architectural concepts and solutions in both business and technical terms.
  • Proven strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
  • Proven track record of working in an agile methodology and knowledgeable with SCRUM framework.
  • Experience of integrating with on-prem and 3rd party cloud applications.
    Required Technical Skills
  • Experience with identity Solutions like - WSO2 Identity Server, Okta. And API management solutions WSO2 API manager, APIGEE.
  • Proficiency in web-services (both SOAP and REST).
  • Proficient in JSON, XML , XPATH , etc.
  • Proficient in web technologies like Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, etc
  • Knowledgeable in MS SQL Server, Postgres SQL and basic SQL.
  • Proficient in AWS cloud and AWS services like EC2, S3, Route53, RDS etc.
  • Basic understanding of System engineering concepts like load balancing, capacity planning, firewalls, SSL etc.
