The Software Engineer will work collaboratively as part of a geographically dispersed team to develop the next generation of our SaaS platform, Peoplelogic.ai. You will work closely with the Engineering Team, Product Team, and Leadership to build new features into the product and support existing customers. The successful candidate will bring with them a natural curiosity for understanding how things work, passion for creating high quality and usable software, motivation to learn and grow, technical aptitude across the entire stack, and the ability to work with and motivate a team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Help design and build the next generation of the Peoplelogic.ai platform, building new features and maintaining and enhancing the existing codebase
  • Investigate and resolve production issues with the product
  • Create and manage usable software development design specifications
  • Meet deadlines in an Agile environment
  • Stay up to date on development methodologies and the software development industry
  • Continue to learn and grow your personal arsenal of skills

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the software industry, preferably SaaS
  • Experience with technologies and languages such as Java, JavaScript, Hibernate, Spring, and Git
  • Experience with SQL, MySQL, and Postgres databases
  • Experience with developing RESTful APIs is a plus
  • Experience troubleshooting/debugging enterprise class full-stack web applications (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Java, React)
  • Familiar with working in Agile environment and remote teams
  • Understanding of architectural principles, frameworks, and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong English-speaking skills
  • Minimum 4 hours overlap with EST timezone

Bonus

  • AWS experience is a plus
  • Experience with Spring Boot is a plus
  • Some experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, ReactJS, JQuery is nice-to-have
