SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Spoonflower is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Media Manager to lead our strategy and brand presence across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with an interest in design, decor, DIY and community engagement.

As the Social Media Manager, reporting to the Content Manager, you will be responsible for managing Spoonflower’s brand presence on social media and crafting innovative and impactful social strategies, aligned with our vision and initiatives. You will drive the seamless execution of social media campaigns to expand our brand reach and creative community globally, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for anyone interacting with Spoonflower across social media.

ABOUT SPOONFLOWER’S SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM

The Spoonflower social media team is an integral part of the Spoonflower brand marketing team, connecting and inspiring our creative community as the Spoonflower brand on social media platforms. Through Spoonflower’s social media communities, we provide opportunities to inspire creativity and connect through design, from Weekly Design Challenges and artist spotlights to interior design inspiration, small business features and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Spoonflower's brand objectives and values. Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, grow and monetize our social media community.
    • Execute editorial social calendar to support product roadmap, campaigns and content goals with on-brand imagery, video and messaging across social media channels.
    • Work with the social media team to develop original, engaging content connected to business goals for publishing across social media platforms, primarily Instagram and Pinterest.
    • Curate and organize UGC, collaborating with makers, artists, interior designers and influencers to showcase their work and inspire our audience.
    • Provide coverage of in-person events for the Spoonflower brand, creating content to share our involvement on social media, both individually and collaboratively.
  • Foster a vibrant and supportive community across Spoonflower's social media channels.
    • Monitor conversations involving Spoonflower, respond to inquiries and engage with followers in a timely and authentic manner.
    • Cultivate relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and industry partners to amplify our reach and impact.
  • Plan and execute specific social media campaigns and promotions to drive brand awareness, product launches, and sales initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product/ Merchandising, Design, and Customer Experience, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with campaign objectives.
    • Develop content ideas that align with campaign goals and showcase brand values through unique, engaging, and on-trend social content.
  • Report on social content and campaign success to key stakeholders in Spoonflower consumer business, demonstrating impact towards brand goals.
    • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, including engagement KPIs, audience growth, and content effectiveness.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the social media landscape and trends, as well as Spoonflower’s product and audience.
    • Conduct competitive research and benchmarking to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
    • Apply attribution best practices to image and audio usage rights, copywriting and all social media content to ensure legal compliance and accessibility.
    • Research relevant industry experts, competitors, audiences, individuals, and best practices.

SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in a creative or e-commerce environment.
* Ability to multitask, collaborate, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while remaining nimble for real-time response and reaction.
* Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation software. Sprout Social, Asana, CapCut, Kapwing experience is a plus.
* Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices across various platforms.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
* Creative thinker with a passion for DIY, design, decor and community building.
* Experience with influencer marketing, content partnerships and user-generated content campaigns is a plus.
