## About the job
Product Security is looking for a Senior Product Security Manager for Secure Engineering to join us Remotely, USA. In this role, you will promote the professional development of your team members to keep their technical and non-technical skills up-to-date. You’ll be critical in guiding the work and direction of the team and strengthening the team’s role within Red Hat. As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with the other managers within Product Security as well as the Customer Support, Product Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering and Quality Engineering teams. You will assist your team by helping them set up goals and milestones that will guide the team to success. The team is globally dispersed, spanning ten countries.
 
This position will contribute directly to the success of our customers, Global Engineering, and Red Hat.

What you will do

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of a team of engineers and program managers, both junior and senior-level, who are responsible for coordinating secure development and incident response-related activities for our software portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership peers to deliver expected results.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership peers to develop and input product security strategy.
  • Help manage any backlog of work and prioritize with senior leadership.
  • Manage programming of work and prioritize its planning and execution
  • Perform one-on-one performance and coaching sessions with all team members on a regular basis.
  • Act as an agent of change to help mature the organization, adopt and promote the Red Hat culture, and emphasize the focus on customers.
  • Rapid response to escalations and security events, works well under pressure.

What you will bring

  • Previous commercial experience in a software engineering environment as part of a technology-oriented company or team
  • Understanding of security requirements around NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, SOC2, and FedRAMP
  • Industry certification such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISA/CISM, PMP or similar a plus
  • Solid people management and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership or management experience with customer focus.
  • Ability to identify potential, develop people, and motivate teams
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Global experience – Must have led global teams that have presence outside of the United States.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with all levels of people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to network and establish strong working relationships with peers across the Red Hat organization to participate or drive global RedHat programs and operational improvements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail
