Responsibilities:

  • Build high-quality, maintainable, performant and well-tested JavaScript code across our entire application.
  • Strive for technological excellence and accomplishment through the adoption of modern tools, processes and standards.
  • Understand our customers and create excellent experiences for them.
  • Help develop and practice internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practice software patterns
  • Create efficient static site builds that can fail gracefully with excellent visibility
  • Work with backend developers to develop intelligently designed and well documented apis
  • Learn, collaborate and teach other engineers working on the frontend
  • Balance time-to-delivery and business needs with the “right” technical solution, aiming for iterative delivery of value to end-users.
  • Work closely with our Business teams to refine requirements and ideate solutions.
  • Support our applications in production through building in observability and participating in production support.
  • Support your teammates in an environment where collaboration, humility, respect and empathy are expected.

There is an opportunity for this role to be full-stack if desirable but we are looking for someone who has predominant skill on the front end of our stack and who desires to spend most of their time there. Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts
  • You have great oral and written communication skills and are comfortable with collaboration in both physical and virtual settings.
  • You are able and want to mentor others through pairing, code review, 1-1s and within team meetings.
  • You are capable of being a tech lead on small to medium sized projects (2-4 weeks long)
  • You are comfortable with modern infrastructure essentials like AWS, Docker, CI/CD tools, etc.
  • You are proficient with common development tools (e.g. Git) and processes (e.g. pairing, testing, code reviews).
  • Prior experience in E-Commerce is a plus.
  • Prior experience with SEO and page optimization is also a plus
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is great but we really want to see real-world experience building great UI/UX for users
  • 4+ years of experience in VueJS or another modern JavaScript web framework, have a passion for learning and personal growth, and work best when working collaboratively with a team.

Pay: Pay is based upon relevant experience.
