As a Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for translating the vision of our product roadmap into actionable tasks for the development team. You will bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution, ensuring that our products are delivered on time and with the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of ownership.

Location(s): North Carolina Research Triangle or East Coast (preferred)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define the product vision and roadmap.
  • Organize and maintain a prioritized backlog in Jira for a team of developers, ensuring it aligns with the strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Work closely with customers, business analysts, and development teams to gather and refine product requirements.
  • Actively participate in Sprint ceremonies and partner with Scrum Master in supporting agile framework
  • Partner with the UX/UI designer in creation and reviewing concept designs and wireframes.
  • Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications for the development team.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Define and validate product functionality, ensuring it meets the specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Address issues and roadblocks promptly, making decisions that keep development on track and aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop test plans, perform testing and post-production validation.
  • Coordinate and review product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical documentation with the technical writing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical background with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts (experience with SQL databases and SaaS applications preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) is a plus.
