Insomniac Games in Durham is hiring a Manager, Information Technology

Responsible for leading the Information Technology (IT) team by contributing to the development, oversight and execution of IT strategy for the studio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides technical direction that aligns IT strategy with studio goals and budgets.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of IT road map.
  • Recommends hardware and software technology as necessary.
  • Provide annual hardware and software budgets to Finance.
  • Manages IT employees.
  • Ensures a consistently high quality of management on IT team.
  • Ensures continuous growth for employees.
  • Ensures that all support tickets are addressed within posted SLA.
  • Manages hardware.
  • Tracks hardware costs as necessary.
  • Tracks hardware maintenance and purchase maintenance contracts as necessary.
  • Provides budget estimates for hardware costs.
  • Manages software licenses.
  • Purchases licenses as necessary.
  • Manages license servers as appropriate.
  • Provides budget estimates for software licensing costs.
  • Represents studio to PlayStation Studios (PSS) and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).
  • Acts as primary point of contact with PlayStation Studios IT.
  • Ensures studio alignment with PSS and SIE IT and InfoSec policies.
  • Ensures that all complaints and concerns related to inappropriate or unprofessional conduct in the workplace are addressed immediately to foster a safe work environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Duties:  This job supervises the IT team across multiple locations and is responsible for carry out duties in accordance with the studio’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training of employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing any and all complaints and resolving problems.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
