Job Summary

NetApp IT supports a user community of ~ 20,000 users globally. The Microsoft 365 ecosystem is used extensively throughout the organization and is critical to the NetApp communications and collaboration fabric.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that the Microsoft 365 ecosystem is performant, compliant, secure, and leveraged to its maximum potential / elegantly integrated with related systems to ensure a seamless and productive user experience. A vision for the art-of-the-possible is as important as a command of the technology. This will be a hands on role; the ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and the management experience to lead a team of 3-4 ICs, along with the ability to work collaboratively, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, highly-usable collaboration and productivity solutions.

Job Requirements

This role will require advanced experience in the following:

  • The Microsoft Office 365 multi-region Email backend
  • Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive backend, centralized client configuration / management
  • Intune and Autopilot
  • Microsoft Teams backend and advanced client configuration / management
  • Windows and Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Power Platforms backend configuration and management
  • Experience in hybrid Active Directory environments
  • General 365 tenant configuration, management, and backup / recovery patterns (including account specific point in time options)
  • Related Azure systems management / administrative functions
  • Microsoft 365 compliance features, capabilities, and their management
  • PowerShell and ideally one or more languages that can be leveraged for infrastructure automation and IaC, such as Python, Bash, Go, Node
  • M/O 365 security / hardening & related best practices
  • Microsoft Identity and Access Management services
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical peers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

Education

  • 8+ years of Microsoft systems engineering experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing scaled environments on the O/M 365 platform
  • Experience with 8k+ user environments across multiple regions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CompSci or related area of study or equivalent professional experience
