Givebacks is looking for a talented Lead Product Designer to join our Product Development Team. Our ideal candidate enjoys solving challenging design problems that make every user interaction meaningful and delightful. They will collaborate with engineering throughout the development life-cycle to iterate on and deliver user experiences that meets the highest quality bar. This person will own the design process from early stage ideation through high-fidelity design handoff. They will develop and maintain detailed design documentation including specifications, assets, and style guides.
This position is fully remote. Limited travel can be expected in the future when we collaborate in person.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with product, engineering and marketing team to create user-centric designs that increase user conversion and actualization
Work with sales, marketing and product team to design solutions to optimize sign-ups and participation in program across various sales and marketing channels
Work to reduce all points of user friction or frustration with the product to achieve maximum conversion.
Develop world class UX & UI for new features and solutions to deepen / broaden users ability to “do good without doing extra.”
Deeply participate in research, user testing, analytics, testing, and market analysis to make informed decisions and create truly user-centric designs.
Create, update, and mange design components, assets, and style guides
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience as a product, UX, or interaction designer with demonstrable proficiency owning the design process from early stage ideation through high-fidelity design handoff
Experience at startup or demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset
Experience with Sketch, Invision, Figma or similar programs
Fluency in UX, visual, and interactive design best practices along with a strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
Experience designing for B2C mobile apps and responsive web
A refined design aesthetic with good judgment and an eye for detail
Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into simple, intuitive, and beautiful user experiences
Experience finding ways to understand user scenarios to build empathy
Tenacious focus on solving customer problems and delivering business results
A portfolio demonstrating your passion for simple, intuitive, and beautiful user-centered designs
Ability to clearly articulate designs into requirements if needed and communicate them to developers, management and peers.
Minimum - Bachelor's Degree
Tasks & Responsibilities
Design for web (desktop and mobile) and app
Create user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that provide intuitive user experiences based on business requirements and user feedback
Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback
Analyze user behavior, usage metrics and usability findings to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement
Provide advice and guidance on implementing UX research methodologies and testing activities
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to create innovative designs to solve complex problems.
Work closely with developers to make sure the design is coded to match design and standards
Contribute to improving design team tools and processes
Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers
Translate business requirements into style guides, design patterns, and attractive intuitive user interfaces
