About the Job

Siemens is looking for a passionate and experienced digital product management leader to join the Brightly team. This position will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and will have responsibility for driving a diverse set of strategic, operational, and product initiatives spanning the SI software and digital services portfolio. You will be at the forefront of helping to clarify fast-moving strategic priorities, address operational challenges and drive growth and innovation. You will be trusted to take on some of the most exciting and impactful problems, working directly with executive leadership to develop innovative approaches and solutions. The successful applicant will cultivate a strong product management team creating a culture of mentoring and furthering product managers. What you will do

  • Own and drive the execution of the product vision for all Brightly product suites
  • Understand and integrate the needs and drivers in Brightly’s core markets and the sales and customer success teams that support them in order to drive beyond market growth.
  • Understand and integrate the needs of the technology stack supporting our products into our own going strategy and roadmaps.
  • Establishing processes that enable efficient running of a platform-based product line and the transition from currently separated tools into an efficiently developed whole
  • Develop and be responsible for the Brightly platform-based Cloud-native, SaaS roadmap
    • Align with Brightly’s product development team on portfolio, product & architecture goals
    • Align with Brightly CTO to accelerate platform and product capabilities where needed
    • Align/prioritize core functionality of harmonized platform versus competition and current customer needs to minimize churn and enhance competitiveness.
    • Assess future development and acquisition targets for performance and fit.
  • Align Brightly, Building X, Xcelerator, and other Siemens’ platform roadmap integration & maintainability requirements with vital team members increasing SW growth
    • Ensure Brightly drives SaaS portfolio integration and App growth
    • Collaboration between Brightly and Building X deliverables, ensuring Brightly priorities are considered in Building X prioritization and resourcing
    • Roadmap to deliver Brightly standalone strategy and future Building X integration
    • Customer/market requirements validation of Roadmap
    • Jointly drive pilot deployment of Brightly and Building X at initial customers
  • Develop and drive a vision for:
    • Advanced analytics
    • Low-code configuration / customization, integration platform capabilities
    • SI / Brightly common portfolio where needed, e.g. energy management, asset management
  • Partner strategically at various levels across the organization, establish and maintain outstanding communication, and build/maintain collaborative relationships at all levels. Work closely with key internal customers, partners and acquisition targets and act as critical liaison to other segments and business functions, focused on enhancing cross-functional alignment across our portfolio
  • Work closely with Leadership teams contributing to budget planning and tracking, reporting, monitoring revenue data, analyzing data to derive trends and opportunities and drive associated action plans

What you need

  • The ideal candidate would come from a Product Management background
  • Minimum 10+ years of management & strategic leadership of software development, software architecture and/or platforms, or product management teams for Enterprise or Cloud/SaaS
  • Strong eye for business with the ability to build SW growth strategy in a highly competitive environment, able to prioritize and align other business team members in Brightly and Siemens
  • Develop gap analysis and drive Make, Buy, Invest, and Partner strategy to quickly close strategic portfolio gaps
  • Ability to pragmatically prioritize, find 80/20 solutions that deliver results quickly
  • Ability to both listen carefully and persuade colleagues from senior executives to working level
  • Proven record to leading complex programs, including execution, implementation and influencing skills. Able to handle many diverse and complex activities in parallel. Must be highly organized with strong ability to follow-up.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Like our software development process, this role will need to be Agile. The optimum will need to be constantly looking at the business conditions, priorities, resource availability and then adjusting as required to ensure that we deliver the most optimal results.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in relevant subject area required

  • Understand the Brightly portfolio and relevant capabilities (platform strategy, vertical specific product suites)
  • Experience leading platform based SW portfolio that satisfies multiple markets & geographies
  • Experience working in Enterprise and mid-market SW and SaaS businesses
  • Advanced degree e.g., MBA or equivalent experience, MSEE, etc.

The pay range for this position is $181,900 - $311,800 and the annual incentive target is 25%-30% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
