We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join the JupiterOne marketing team as a strategic partner to the organization. As Director of Product Marketing you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and ongoing management of our overall product marketing strategy.

What you will do:

* Lead the overall product marketing function from strategy to go-to-market excellence to support all marketing activities as well as the Sales Enablement function  
* Serve as market-facing subject matter expert (SME) for JupiterOne, including managing analyst relations - preparing briefings, handling inquiries, and sharing analyst feedback with the rest of the JupiterOne team.
* Develop and refine core product messaging, positioning, competitive differentiation and product content, and translate this for technical and non-technical audiences 
* Drive an audience-centric marketing approach within the organization, ensuring that messaging, content and campaign strategies and tactics are centered around customer buying needs, pain points, and personas.
* Create internal and external-facing content about JupiterOne’s products and offerings support AR/PR, awareness, thought leadership and strategic partnerships
* Create compelling value propositions and stories that resonate with different audiences, including Sales (internal), CISOs, and security architects in Cloud Enterprise accounts
* Expected to seek out opportunities and use feedback to advance their work products 
* Lead large, high priority, cross-functional, strategic projects, driving multiple decisions that have significant impact on the company’s direction and growth; ensures adherence to customer and internal JupiterOne processes  
* Receives and provides regular updates at key milestones on each project; redirects work as needed  
* Prioritizes their own work with input from the leadership team; sets priorities for the function
* Expected to form strategic partnerships with peers and implement strategy within the function as aligned with cross-functional teams 
* Is a key stakeholder on the solutions that are presented to problems that arise; identifies and surfaces problematic patterns to leadership with regards to the root causes of problems
* Anticipates future problems and takes ownership of proposing solutions
* Holds themselves and others accountable to an inclusive environment that is welcoming to all
* Fosters engagement at all levels of the organization
* A trusted advisor and thought partner to the leaders on the team 
* Skilled at enabling others to execute on problem-solving
* Sets direction, strategy and vision for the function; holds team members accountable

Who you are:

* You have 7+ years of software industry marketing experience and a deep background in the IT security space
* Ideally have a mix of technical (technical marketing or engineering) and business (product marketing, partnerships) acumen
* Demonstrate the ability to go beyond product features and functions to create value-driven stories that compel a buyer to take action on an emotional level 
* You have strong experience leading and inspiring teams of marketers as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and build collaboration amongst stakeholders from Sales, Product, Engineering, Solution Architects, Customer Experience, and Marketing 
* Experience in a fast-paced startup environment preferred (note this is a hands-on position with the ability to make a huge impact as JupiterOne grows) 
* Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions
* Strong awareness of industry trends and their potential influence on JupiterOne’s business 
* Strong teaming skills and experience to bring together diverse views
* Innate interest in constantly learning new things and ways of working
* Creates an inclusive, collaborative and fun way of sharing experience and learnings
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
* Applies principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

* Experience with technologies, applications, and systems integral to JupiterOne productivity
* Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles

Education, Certification, & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
* Certificate, and/or advanced degree coursework with a concentration in Product Marketing preferred

Travel Requirements, Environmental Conditions, & Physical Demands

* Prolonged periods of sitting indoors at a desk and working on/accessing information on a computer in an office environment or from home.  
* May occasionally move from one work location to another (i.e. from home to office) or travel based on business need to events, trade shows, conferences, customer sites, company headquarters, or other as assigned travel locations, as needed to maintain strong pulse on the industry, representation of the company, and to support relationships internally and externally. 
* Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines. Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
* Meetings with customers and partners will require appropriate business attire, or other company branded / logo attire.
* Physical demands include mobility within the office location including moving from floor to floor using elevator during regular business day. Emergency action plans include assistance with egress if the elevator is not operable.

$125,000 - $192,000 a year

JupiterOne's competitive compensation packages for salaried roles include: base salary, equity, variable/incentive pay, perks, and benefits. Cash compensation is determined by a variety of factors, to include job family, function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against current market data.

The target base salary range for this position is $125,000-$192,000

Final compensation packages are determined by multiple factors such as individual experience, education, qualifications, certifications, performance level, specialized expertise, and geographic location, and may vary from the target salary range listed above.
