The power of a complex system is best revealed with a simple and direct user interface. This role as Director of Software Engineering for FlexGen’s App Development team will be responsible for bringing those interfaces to our HybridOS Energy Management customers.
The groups within the App Development team develop the front ends for every day users of all HybridOS products, the back end interfaces for those front ends and customer integration points, and user interface, user experience and product design. The Software Engineering Manager is expected to support those product groups toward those goals and champion modern software design techniques and architectures.

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct the efforts of front end and back end development teams
- Work with Platform development team to stay coordinated on architectural choices throughout a release
- Run quarterly release planning for their teams
- Work with customers in both pre-sales and project execution to help their use of and integration with FlexGen’s systems
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience designing and implementing software systems
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience managing direct reports
- Experience with: JavaScript frameworks, REST APIs, Backend servers and databases, Development testing
