Looma exists to inspire, educate, and humanize the shopping experience. Our first product, Loop™️, is an in-store network of screens that play short videos focused on storytelling and education. The content for this platform is powered by our second product, Relay™️, a marketplace of filmmakers and other creators who specialize in point-of-decision content.

Position Summary

We’re seeking a Director of Retail Operations to develop and lead an industry-leading project management and program execution process as we grow to $100M+ over the next few years. Our revenue growth is driven by new installations of tablets across a network of grocery retailers. We currently operate a network of 1,000+ tablets in over 400 retail stores and expect to grow our network to 10,000+ tablets in 2,000+ retail stores in the next year. We’re looking for an incredibly organized and high-capacity operator who can a) improve upon our project planning and execution process as we scale to ensure an exceptionally polished experience for our retail partners b) be the standard-bearer of our core value of “polish” c) build an ops team to support our continued growth and d) drive deliverables and execution across the company. This role reports to our SVP of Retail Operations.

The responsibilities for this role can be split into four primary categories:

  1. Pilot and rollout oversight, execution and management (60%)
  2. Roadmap planning and budgeting (15%)
  3. Process improvement and streamlining operations (15%)
  4. Team management (10%)

_Pilot and rollout oversight, execution and management (60%) _

  • Oversee management and execution of 3P partners for all store rollouts
  • Oversee all preparation, execution and post-management of all pilots
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to manage projects and deliverables for complex product rollouts
  • Use influence to drive deliverables and execution across stakeholders
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Keep projects on schedule with flawless, polished execution

_Roadmap planning and budgeting (15%) _

  • Design project planning process to maintain flawless execution of operationally complex product rollouts
  • Develop KPIs to measure project planning effectiveness within and across multiple projects

_Process improvement and streamlining operations (15%) _

  • Identify and deploy methods to improve internal processes at scale
  • Work cross-functionally to find and implement cost-efficiency improvements

Team management (10%)

  • Hire, train and develop team members
  • Manage installation excellence team

Attributes & Experience

  • Polish: exceedingly well-organized and detail-oriented, lets nothing slip through the cracks, presents information clearly and concisely
  • Poise: performs with clarity, determination, and a cool head under a time crunch and ambiguous situations
  • Skilled at managing people, formally and informally
  • Skilled at negotiations
  • Experience scaling and/or managing complex projects required
  • Experience with startups, network administration and finance/budgeting all strongly preferred

**Structure & Compensation **

Looma will provide a competitive compensation package consisting of base salary and stock options. All Looma compensation packages include some cash / equity flexibility (i.e. you can opt for more equity and less cash or vice-versa).
