The Cybersecurity Manager, will be responsible for design, implementation, certification, and project management of IT infrastructure that meets the security requirements for our customers participating in the bulk electric system. The right person will oversee immediate security incident and event response management, identification, triage and response to security incidents, operational metrics design and reporting. The manager will set goals & direction, motivates staff to achieve outcomes. Contributes to the strategy and planning of FlexGen’s solutions delivery, growth, and operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the Senior Management team in governance processes of the organization’s security strategies
  • Lead strategic security planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology
  • Develop and communicate security strategies and plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders
  • Assist senior management and key IT personnel with the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements
  • Serve as advocate and primary liaison for the company’s security vision via regular written and in-person communications with senior management, department managers, and other critical personnel
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practice
  • Direct and manage the effective performance of the Security Team as supervisor, coach, mentor, and role model
  • Oversee and ensure the implementation and success of security training programs for the Security Team, as well as end user
  • Track and analyze trends in service requests, generate statistical reports, forecast resources required to manage security products
  • Individually as well as part of the team, apply fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, and any other measures required in the event of a security breach
  • Assist in the administration of all computer security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software
  • Create, track, and control the Information Security department’s annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations
  • In collaboration with the CTO and HR, establish and maintain systems, procedures, and policies
    Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or related field required
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: CISSP, GCCC, GSEC, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE preferred
  • 3 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT and/or security operation
  • 5 years’ experience working in Information Security professional business environment
  • Minimum 2 years CRM application experience
  • Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices
  • Broad range of technical knowledge of business networks, PC’s, business enterprise systems, cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data privacy and protection.
  • Proven experience in planning, organizing, and developing IT security and facility security system technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of technology environments, including information security, building security, and defense solutions
  • Proven capabilities in business processes, management, budgeting, and business operation
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving security problems
