The ideal candidate will have proven experience turning product/technical information into creative and engaging content, a deep understanding of the B2B SaaS marketing funnel, experience writing purpose-built sales email copy and cadences, and the executional chops to architect a sustainable content operation. You're organized, thoughtful, dependable, and able to juggle multiple priorities on a collaborative and spirited team.

**Note: This position is a full-time Hybrid-Remote eligible position.  We are looking for candidates local to Morrisville, NC who can either work at our RTP headquarters full-time, or in-office a minimum of two days per week and at home the remainder of the week, subject to Company needs.  Additional work from home flexibility may be offered in the future.  **

Primary responsibilities include:

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Create a content strategy and calendar that supports our business goals in close collaboration with team members who oversee brand, growth, sales enablement, customers, events, and product.
  • Brainstorm new content ideas and formats using customer intelligence, competitive research, SEO analysis, market trends, and knowledge of our product roadmap.
  • Deeply understand our customers, the market, and competitors through research, observation, and collaboration with Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams — become a master of how they use our products, why they care, and what makes them tick.

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Produce original content to support the objectives of various teams across PlayMetrics (e.g. drive leads, increase engagement, advance sales stage, etc.) - including sales email cadences, outbound marketing emails, ebooks, whitepapers, SEO content, sales enablement materials, video scripts and storyboards, testimonial / logo marketing, etc.
  • Working with our Director of Marketing and Customer Success team, craft customer stories that effectively showcase the impact of PlayMetrics, in various formats (e.g. written, video, interview profiles, case studies).
  • Oversee the content calendar, ensure deadlines are met, and that all content is published on schedule. Take ownership and initiative across the full content marketing journey, including auditing and updating existing content and identifying new gaps and opportunities.
  • Experiment with different types of content to learn what works.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on content performance and make recommendations for optimization.

Outsourced Team Building & Oversight

  • Assemble a high-performing outsourced content team to supplement our existing freelance contractors.
  • Manage freelance relationships, including contractual standings, billing and time tracking, scopes of work, project allocation, and performance optimization.

What you should bring to the table:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in content marketing, sales enablement, copywriting, or a related role.
  • Experience in SaaS, preferably in a B2B environment with Sales-led growth models.
  • Customer and product storytelling must be one of your superpowers; more specifically, you’ll need to be a business-savvy storyteller with exceptional writing chops, able to deliver strong ‘no fluff’ content that still has human storytelling at the center.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize amidst many moving pieces and complete tasks with high quality and on deadline; often viewed as an “operator” by peers and management (experience with Notion and Google Docs/Sheets preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Experience in all aspects of email marketing including writing copy, planning campaigns, measuring results, and optimizing strategies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional work are part of your personal philosophy.
  • A history of being adaptable and flexible to a constantly changing marketing landscape.
  • Creative approaches to solving problems.
  • A Marketing or equivalent degree.
