The Corporate Strategist reports to the Director, Corporate Strategy, in the Office of the CEO to drive collaborative efforts to produce and compile cross-functional insights that will guide strategic decisions and enable Red Hat’s North Star Strategy and vision for Open Hybrid Cloud in our Raleigh Office. The candidate must uniquely understand Red Hat’s global business levers, portfolio and how its different organizations work together to grow revenue, increase customer success metrics and attain market leadership.

What you will do

  • Identify and assess opportunities for future growth

  • Develop planning insights from external market intelligence that help guide future growth and investment decisions

  • Provide research and external case studies with detailed analysis and recommendations to business leaders

  • Coordinate strategic planning and assemble content from across Red Hat’s technology and product teams for planning deliverables

  • Refresh and maintain relevancy of Red Hat’s strategic company objectives

  • Work with strategic objective leadership to prioritize areas of focus for operational execution

  • Consult with other groups at Red Hat to align with corporate strategy and cascade OKR’s that drive accountability to execution

  • Support executive level groups and forums

  • Provide sponsorship and mentoring

What you will bring

  • Ability to make recommendations based on critical thinking and data analysis.

  • Capable of problem solving with limited supervision.

  • At least 10 years experience leading initiatives and modeling efforts including some that involve the use of SaaS industry metrics and key performance indicators.

  • Must deeply understand the key financial and strategic drivers of Red Hat.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead others through analyzing and interpreting data.

  • Verbal, written, and presentation skills must be of the highest standard with the ability to produce presentations, strategy memos, and whitepapers with clarity and precision.

  • Ability to distill and articulate narratives from complex subject matter

  • Past experience presenting findings to a C-level executive audience

  • Clear understanding of Red Hat’s market, business, portfolio, strategy, and how it translates into key performance indicators and business outcomes.

  • Experience creating and utilizing OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) for driving accountability.

  • Knowledge of how to navigate across Red Hat’s business functions and lead cross-functional efforts while effectively managing ambiguous challenges

  • Ability to thrive on a small team with an unwavering passion for challenging and improving the status quo.

  • 10+ years experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly-matrixed organization - understanding of how to socialize ideas across cultures and functions.

  • Must be an expert in the use of Google Sheets and Google Slides

  • Experience using SQL, or Python a plus.

  • MBA or equivalent related degree preferred.
