The Business Development Representative (BDR) reports to the Senior Sales Manager and will qualify leads and route those leads to relevant Account Executives (AEs). The BDR will proactively reach out to inbound prospects and work to convert those prospects into actionable leads for the AEs and Solutions Engineers (SEs) to follow up on with the goal of increasing funnel conversion and increase closed-won opportunities. The ideal candidate has experience with B2B sales driven organizations with a track record of success and is a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

You’ll engage with developers, data analysts, data architects, and product managers across multiple industries.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Front Line Customer Interaction (via phone, chat, and email) – Qualify customers and pass to the appropriate Account Executives.
  • Inbound Lead Management – Lead validation, and triage of incoming marketing leads.
  • Outbound Prospecting – Calling to validate unqualified marketing leads, campaign development, cold call prospecting and appointment setting for Account Executives.
  • License Key validation and other operational activities as assigned.
  • Effectively utilizing the lead qualification process and document information and activities in CRM.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual targets and established metrics to drive achievement of goals.
  • Data Hygiene activities to ensure accurate records are maintained in the CRM.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS from accredited university or equivalent business experience in technology sales.
  • 0-1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales Development or Inside Sales Role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Persuasive and unafraid to negotiate
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Experience working with a CRM system, Salesforce preferred
  • Organized and self-disciplined, with strong time-management skills
  • Coachable team-player focused on winning with integrity
