What You'll Do

Atlassian Engineer

In This Role You Will

• Work with the Cloud Engineers to design and build operational infrastructure to support Jira, Confluence and other Service Management tools
• Provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of system, network, and infrastructure problems
• Provide technical oversight for the Atlassian Suite
• Provide guidance on workflow and project creation inside Jira
• Develop and maintain backup and restore strategy for the Atlassian suite of products
• Work with outside vendors on improving and maintaining the Atlassian products
• Work with development teams and power users to advise on best practices

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in a DevOps role
• 2+ years experience running Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence
• Proven experience working with JVM based applications and hosting JIRA/Confluence on Linux
• Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Python, Groovy, Shell)
• Experience with REST services, and familiarity with SQL database concepts
• Experience with a continuous delivery model of deploying software
• Experience with researching and managing 3rd party add-ons for Jira and Confluence
• Experience with creating and managing complex workflows in Jira and Service Management

• DevOps tools, including Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
• Experience with load balancers and proxies
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with databases
