As a team contributor in Software Engineering, you are a driving force behind the delivery of multiple business objectives that leverage and extend our technical platforms. This is a great opportunity for a software engineer to apply their industry and academic experience, engage with senior engineers, and help merchants, merchant aggregators, and fintechs scale with speed & confidence.

Responsibilities

- Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products.
- Develop, test, and document libraries, frameworks, APIs that allow us to effectively scale development on our applications across multiple projects as common services or components. 
- Support our products and contribute to troubleshooting production issues.
- Contribute to documentation and procedures. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Write clear maintainable solutions that scale, adhere to coding standards, working in a professional software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration, deployment, etc.).
- Participate in requirements analysis, product & code design opportunities.
- Participate in discovery, solutioning, monitoring, and shadowing incident resolution process.
- Demonstrate data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision-making aligned with business and technology needs.
- Strive to differentiate between immediate needs vs long term solutions.
- Participate with senior engineers, development managers, product managers, and scrum-masters in an agile environment.
- Learn continuous improvement processes. Welcome change and complexity. Learn quickly and adapt fast.

Candidate Requirements

- B.S. in Computer Science, Coding Bootcamp certificate, or applicable experience.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, databases, SQL, web programming.
- Ability to build and maintain productive internal/external working relationships.
- Strong communication and partnership skills required.

Bonus

- Experience in coding with Ruby programming language a plus
- Experience with open source contribution, repositories, personal projects.
- Participation in communities of interest, meetups.
- Certifications in technology and/or agile methodologies.
