Agile Managers are expected to be an expert in agile methodologies, a proven thought leader and collaborator with the equivalent skills of a Senior Scrum Master, ultimately responsible for Scrum Master(s) and the decisions being made around agile processes. An Agile Manager has managerial responsibilities for Scrum Master(s) and works with Scrum Masters to drive positive change and achieve organizational goals regionally. As an Agile Manager you will play a key role in the ongoing improvement of our Agile practices across engineering, product and broader across Pendo. What you’ll do:
Role Responsibilities
Collaborate with other leaders on defining agile standards and best practices for Pendo
Manage's and develops a team(s) of Scrum Masters
Model's strong partnership with R&D leadership
Foster an environment of continuous improvement and team empowerment so that our teams reach their full potential for productivity, engagement, and morale
Manage our quarterly planning cycle and continuously improve as needed to ensure effective and efficient delivery
Defines a team structure and develops skills, or identifies gaps and facilitates the recruiting of team members in a way that enables scale and execution with good velocity
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
1+ year of experience managing an agile team
Understanding of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
Strong knowledge and experience in facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership
Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
A Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience
Professional (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
